Leading a project for the grassroots organisation "save Achilles street". I organised a protest in south-east London for a local organisation standing up to developers whose plans to build luxury apartments would involve the destruction of the part council-owned properties and businesses along Achilles street.

The protest took the form of a series of photos putting a name to the faces behind the local businesses at risk. The A0 photos were mounted on frames and positioned on a hill overlooking a park, situated behind the street in question. We then talked to members of the public and asked them to sign a petition that was later delivered to the local council. As a team we also produced a booklet that walked people through the steps required to fight gentrification, this was handed out along with hot drinks and snacks.

Throughout the project, I was involved in carpentry, graphic design, illustration and engaging with the public. But my main role was organising a team of 10, utilising an individual’s strengths to materialise the project in the best form possible.
